Joshua H. Jong — Pastor
Joshua H. Jong grew up in Toronto, Canada. In 1991, he was ordained as a Minister of Word and Sacrament in the Presbyterian Church in Canada. He came to New York City in 1994 for clinical training in Pastoral Psychotherapy. He earned a Doctor of Ministry degree in counseling and completed Ph.D. studies in Counseling Psychology & Religion at Boston University. He has served two churches in Long Island, in Commack for 11 years and in Bethpage for 9 years. He came to New Hyde Park in 2016. He is in charge of ‘House of Hope and Healing’, a free counseling service for the community. He also serves as a chaplain and a volunteer EMT at New Hyde Park Fire Department. Also pastor Jong participates in annual mission trips to South America.
